70 cuda bumper guard question

I have a 74 and I am not installing the huge rubber  bumper guards . I want to put the small 70/71 guards on it. Do i need all 3 of these pieces to do the install?

Because you haven't moved your bumper in, removing the bumper filler, the brackets in the first picture will not reach. (assuming your car is the gold car in the last picture)

Do you think  i could reuse the stock brackets off the original bumperettes that I already have from the car? And just connect the New guard to it? 

Thank for the help! I forgot the 74 is sticking out further than 70!
I can weld and fabricate or modify the brackets.....

The bumper and the brackets are different so you will have to modify the brackets if you want to use your brackets.
