Seems like a fair price to me...they don't come along like that very often
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Selling an unmolested garage find 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T. The Mopar muscle car was parked in 1977 and is a real R code Challenger R/T with a 4 gear trans., 3.54 trac pack. All original steel, 53,000 original mile time capsule. One of the best hemi challengers out there and its up for grabs. All the right options were checked off. Extremely rare machine. Car has 2 build sheets original tag, and a great history with documentation.

Price: $150,000 US

I spoke with the guy this owner bought it from about 5 years ago. I passed on the car, a few years earlier I would have jumped on it. It had been mothballed for decades then the owner I talked to bought it to flip. This fellow has done a nice job of cleaning it up.
Not what I would have done though, I would have knocked it down and restored it as I hate looking at flaws! For me it would have been alot of work and then what do you do with it? Trailer it to shows, no thanks.
When I talked to the then owner he was going to take the engine out and take it to a shop. I told him to make note of everything and take photos and control what happened with all the original fasteners etc. He was a typical 4 bolt main Chevy kind of guy and knew what he had sort of but would have fubarred all originality. I think the car landed in a better place than what could have happened.

I like it.  But it really is too rough to enjoy as a survivor thus needs a restoration.  Then after investing another 100K or more in it, as Sheldon mentioned, it'll just be a trailer queen.  I already have one trailer queen and don't need another!
