Not a bad looking car.  Some minor errors.  The 2 speed wiper motor with the rally dash being one.  :clueless:

Hi so your saying that the 2 speed wiper motor is incorrect.IS That because of it being an. AAR. And with that air cleaner ? And 6 BBL CHEERS  :australia:

JH27N0B

Rally dash includes the variable speed wiper which gets a 3 speed wiper motor.
The 3 speed wiper motor doesn't interfere with any air cleaner assemblies.
It appears that car has a manual washer too, Rally dashes include a power washer pump.
So something isn't right with that car. Either the restorer didn't know what they were doing, or the rally dash was added. A62 is shown on the tag, so if rally dash was added to this car then the tag is fake?

Just to clarify.....EVERY E Body that came from the factory with a rally dash WILL ALSO HAVE a 3spd wiper motor and electric washer. NO exceptions. :stop:

So when you see a car that has rally gauges, but not three speed wipers, something is not right.
In this case the tag says A62 but it doesn't have three speed wipers and electric washers, so now the tag is suspicious, :lurking:  or the restoration was done poorly as stated. :alan2cents:

The drums do not look right. I thought all Transam cars received the finned 11.5" units. The instrument cluster looks to be 72 or later. Trip / Clock Rest knobs .....
Great looking car!

What's with the front spring hangers  :looney:

I guess I don't understand the comment about the rallye gauge cluster being a 72 and later. My Dec 70 build 71 has the same gauge cluster with the reset knobs in the same place.

Unlike yours, the reset knobs are directly attached to the instruments themselves. You can clearly see it on the speedo closeup. With that said, the facia itself appears to be 70/71.  Note. I'm no expert nor a guru ....

They don't seem to be e-body. The rear leaf springs are not original also.

Ok. Got it. I didn't scroll through all 200+ photos to see the closeup of the speedometer and clock at first. I see it now. Thank you.

RUNCHARGER

If the paint and body are good it would be a great car to detail properly. A lot of stuff needs finessing but mostly no or low dollar stuff, just time. I was happy to see what look to be real 15X7 trim rings on it.

Why, would the trans am tag be on the left?  I've not seen that before.  Just installed incorrectly I assume.

The tags were installed by the same guy who installed a 2 speed wiper motor and manual washer pump switch with a rally dash  :drunk:
