Will this hemi cuda convertible ever find a home?

This cuda seems to have been on the market perpetually for a number of years even though is has shown "sold" a few times at Mecum auctions.  I wonder why some wealthy collector has not snatched it up to make it a centerpiece of their collection?

I wish that one had a different color interior.  That tan just doesn't do anything for me in a yellow car.  In fact, tan doesn't do anything for me in most color cars.  FT6, white, biege.  Other than those 3 exterior colors I never think that color interior looks right.
Given that hemi cuda convertibles are one of a handful of cars that are at the apex of desirability in the muscle car world, and that there are a number of muscle car collectors with the means to invest 7 figures in the right car to add to their collections, the fact that a hemi cuda convertible spends so much time on the market makes me wonder if there is something sketchy about it.  Does anyone know anything about its history?

I heard at one time the Brothers had decided they were going to buy up every hemi cuda convertible out there for their collection so they would own them all.  Or maybe it was just every '71 hemi cuda convertible out there.  But either way, the story goes that they soon found out that they were not the only ones around with all the money in the world, and that owners of some of the hemi cuda convertibles also had all of the money in the world and weren't the least bit interested in selling their cars to them or anybody else for any amount of money. 
So that well laid plan failed.
I also heard a rumor a few years ago that they weren't buying any more cars. Maybe after amassing 500 or 600 cars they got bored?

I seem to remember some pics of it on Moparts or maybe Cars in Barns from back when it was 'found', I think it was painted black with flames down the sides or something. I think it's a legit car but the color combo certainly can't help. But yeah why not buy it and add it to the herd if you're one of the big dogs. I'd ditch the steelies and add some rallyes or cragars, and a hockey stick to break up all of the yellow. And I generally like 'Cudas without sticks or billboards myself.

If you have enough money to buy an ornament, you want a pretty one. Car is legit, original owner didn't drive it much either. Knowing some of the history on this one, I bet it is a lot better (original tin and parts, never parted, damaged etc.) than most of them.

This combination is sweet!  Not an fy1 fan but I think the T5 interior really helps the fy1 color.

The 1970 FY1 Lemon Twist Hemi Cuda convertible automatic which sold at MECUM Kissimmee 2024 with H6T5 Tan interior is VIN BS27R0B305097.
The other 1970 FY1 Hemi Cuda convertible is a 4-speed with H6X9 Black interior and is BS27R0B156924.

The fender tags for these two yellow cudas have eluded me. Maybe somebody has a picture to share of the tags?
