There's nothing meaner looking than a car (any car) with big fat ass rear tires and a blower with a nasty sounding idle. I'am a fan of old school pro street look. I hate the look of most pro touring cars with big rims and those awful rubber band tires. Give me sidewall any day.  I would put my 440 in and tub mine in a minute if it hadn't become worth so much money. Always wanted a car with a blower to. Found these videos today that are pretty cool.  Would do a poll of preference of pro street to pro touring but don't know how. How about posting some pics of those big rear ended cars.       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XbvptvYQ5U              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XbvptvYQ5U

Love them.  Even better with something sticking out of the hood.  Seriously temped by this one but I'd get kicked out of the house.  All the hard work is done.  Shouldn't be too hard to put plates on it.

If you stick this much tire under your car ---you better have the motor to back it up.     :stayinlane:

Cut it up. Tub it. Make it the car you always wanted. Originality is over-rated. Never understood the numbers game. Means nothing to most of us.

I like big meats on the back with the stock hood. One of the nicest hoods out there why cut it up!

I remember having lots of heart attacks back in the 90's when you would see these real cool cars at the shows....then I would check the VIN and be  floored when I see it WAS an original rare car like a V code or even a R code :o :looney: wasted.........
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Different strokes for different folks....

Here's an original U code 'Cuda doing what Mopars were built to do. :burnout:

I go back and forth between tubbing mine and going with a tunnel ram sticking out of the hood. This thread is going to end up costing me some money....

I think E-bodies  have the best look but other brands can be pretty bitchin also.

I'd be more inclined to find a rotten e-body to build instead of cutting up a nice solid original e body. I'm the farthest thing from a purist but..... great idea/project for a car that otherwise might not ever see the road again.  They are around ! I'd bet you could sell a nice solid road worthy e body , buy a rusty one , build the car and still come out further ahead money wise.   :alan2cents:

I've always thought the older Barracuda's worked out really well

I hear you.  I'm still kicking myself for not nabbing the W2 dual tunnel ram intake that popped up locally last fall.  But then I would need two cars, one for the road course stuff and one with the steamrollers and hole in the hood.

I agree with this. I'm on the hunt for a junker ebody under 3k for this exact project. No paint, interior, just down and dirty
