1/25 Scale Color Chip Cuda....

I've been subscribing to Scale Auto magazine for over 32 years....I just got my Feb18 issue and was reading it while on a porcelain break....
Check out this 1/25 Model.....can you imagine the process involved  :takealook:

Tim Wellborn had a replica of the cuda built and displayed it at MCACN in 2016 which must be the one you saw at the Nats.  There never was a actual one made back in the day.  The one in the ad was created in the advertising company's art department!
A company is making a line of die cast models featuring notable MCACN displayed cars.  I know they made one of a 70s customized Superbird from MCACN, and of Wellborns black sunroof Charger.  I haven't heard if they are doing one of his multicolored cuda, but it would be cool if they did!

That's pretty cool. Lots of masking and waiting. Where's the zoomies and Halibrands on Wellborn's  though?

Yea I can't imaging the work that went into painting a model kit like that  :looney: but if you compare it to the picture, he's not all that accurate.... :dunno:  I thought the same when I compared Tim's car to the picture as well...
