Your SPD is before May 8, 1970.

My guess is 1st quarter 1970.

@6bblgt may have an idea of SPD for your VIN?

JS29

What you have IS an R/T S,E, 383, built at the Hamtramck Michigan plant. As far as being an early build, I don't think it's that early. I have one with an SPD of 917 door sticker states 10/69. and VIN starts 126.   :alan2cents:

Vin of this one starts JS29NOB 259...
Guessing that it's a late built 70 model ?

The VIN on my old R/T SE was JS29U0B440289 so 259 certainly isn't particularly late....  I'd guess early 1970....  If you have a Fender Tag is will show the Scheduled Production Date  Post a photo...

If Only it did have its Fender tag, but unfortunately, it's missing, which is So frustrating !!
Whether the build sheet is in one of the seat backs, I don't know.

How about a door sticker?  It should show the actual month of production....

JS29N0B259xxx would've been scheduled last week of February 1970 - though it could've been built early March

door sticker date?  full VIN?

That's a nice, well-optioned Challenger. Congratulations and keep us posted on your progress.

Thank you I was just decoding it today.   The SE stuff is different for me  but Im learning.    Matching numbers     I won first place in a modified Challenger  but this is different because I want to restore this one.

There are several guys on here that have experience with SE hardware. I'm about 85% through the total rebuild of my R/T SE. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful members on here. Ask away.

Not had a chance to see if it's the original 383 in it.
