Any idea on how (or if) I can repair my original 71 elastomer bumper damage?  As you can see a decent size chunk is missing and it appears to be where there is no metal behind it to act as a support if I were to try to attach some type of material similar to the original rubber/elastomer the factory used.  I know the repros from Tommy are excellent quality, but if there's any chance I can save my original-to-the-car piece that would be my preference.

Craft project.  I think you will need a buddy with a good bumper to make a mould of the  corner.
Then figure out what the durometer hardness  of the rubber you are looking for.
This Amazon product says 80, which is like a hockey puck according to the ad.

Interesting idea...the challenge is going to finding someone else with a 71 elastomer bumper from which to make a mold from.  I wonder if I can make a mold from my good side and then somehow reverse it...perhaps using a 3 d printer or something like that?

Thanks Alan.  No the missing pice is long gone.  I'll contact Tommy to see if he has a solution.  I didn't know he repaired them.

@Chryco Tommy, any hope for this 71 bumper, or is it too far gone ?

Hi I would first try to align the drivers side, as it looks like is not sitting up right to the fender. The core may have a "twist" in it. the passenger side is repairable. I will PM you

your bumper needs to hug the fender as such. the body line from the bumper should flow to the fender
