A833 reverse switch

I was wondering what size socket is used to remove the reverse switch on 4 speed 833, and what generally goes wrong with them.

Not much to go wrong with them , it is just a ball contact with a spring behind it , the old style often leak fluid through the rivits on the terminals
I thought they were 7/8 but it has been a decade or so

The switch is showing "On". I was in the process of changing the gear oil and thought that it would be a good time to deal with it.
