Around 10 years ago, I was at a local car show and a red T/A pulled in I didn't recognize.
I went to check it out, and saw the owner had his Mr Norms sales paperwork for the car.  I looked closer and realized the car was 2 VINs past mine!
I emailed Barry Washington later, and Barry informed me that there were actually 4 identical option consequentially VINd T/As that he had seen paperwork for.  Mine was the first, the one at the show was the 3rd, and the 4th was in Georgia.  The second one has never surfaced, so if it exists, the owner hasn't sent data on it to the T/A registry.
I became casual friends with the owner of the T/A, a guy named Jim, I'd see him at shows from time to time.  He was a collector with mainly GM cars.
In recent years, I have only run across him at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals.  He is always displaying a Corvette.  I didn't see the T/A for several years until I saw it being auctioned at the Mecum auction here in 2015.
It didn't sell.
Last year, I got my T/A done enough to display at MCACN, and Jim stopped by to see it as I was setting up, but never mentioned his car.
Later I met another guy with a T/A, and subject of Jim's T/A came up.  The other guy knew Jim and said Jim had sold his car, though he didn't know any details about the new owner.
I'm wondering if anyone knows where this T/A ended up.  It is unrestored but has some fairly tired areas like the rear quarters look like they might have been repaired from accident damage, and the tops of the fenders have blotches almost like acid rain or something.  The VIN ends in "738".
I'd hoped to reunite the cars after mine was done, and now Jim's is probably a thousand miles away now, or overseas!
I'll probably run into Jim at the next MCACN, but in the meantime, maybe someone here knows of a Mr Norms T/A that was recently sold out of the northwest suburbs of IL and where it ended up?

Would it have been Dundee,Illinois? September last year there was a red Mr.Norms T/A primarily unrestored,4spd lower mileage 41k miles came up forsale on a mopar FB page and did not last long.

East Dundee actually, but yes, certainly the same car.
It bid to 75K reserve not met at Mecum in October 2015.
It's a very cool car, but really needed a restoration.  That was the problem with it, it was almost too nice and original to restore, but had enough flaws in the paint that it really did need to be restored.

Must be same car then. It sold right away,or at least the post was updated as sold very soon after I reposted it to my page.

Although no one has come around yet to say they know where this T/A ended up after being sold last year, I did learn some interesting news from FlatlandTA.  His car is 5 vins before mine, and his buddy has one 2 vins before mine!  Their cars are FY1, and I remember Barry telling me the T/A one before mine was FY1.  And these cars were Mr Norms ordered cars, a group larger than the 4 red ones including mine, that I already knew about!
Imagine that, 10 or more consecutive vin yellow and red T/As getting built and shipped to the dealer, almost like a fleet sale!

something like the first 100 assigned T/A VINS are Mr. Norm's cars - same thing happened with the '69 440 Dart GTS
