Glad you have seen the bad and learned from it and will not repeat the unfortunates.
You're kids will be so much better prepared.  Congrats to you.

Have you perhaps tried to call the dealer that had the car for sale.  Maybe the car wouldn't sale and it is sitting behind the car sales barn in Florida.

Alan likes to be called Alan mostly.  Lots of memories with ole Al.

That is good to know because I don't want to call him that if he goes by Alan. I know if someone calls me Al I don't answer I hate it. It is like you really can't put in the effort for the other two letters it is only 4.

Gordan had to move the car when the woman whose property it was on had enough of him from what I was told...

I remember Gordon talking about a neighbor now like this. The odds that he lived next to two E body guys though is crazy.

Currently working on the nerve to call Alan and what exactly to say to him.

EDIT: just called the dealer that had it on that website he has not had the car in 10 years or so. He said he sold it to a guy somewhere in Callahan or Jacksonville Florida. Who he said sounded like he had a restoration shop. In those pics it is at the guy selling it to get restored. Some guy bought it from Gordon put a deposit down to restore it and was never heard from again. So the owner had to sell it off to pay bills for the shop. He was a Mopar guy too so it hurt him having to sell it off but with it being a rare car he had to pay bills.

There is your needed lead.
Get the guy in Florida to find the phone number of the guy who bought it from him.
He is a dealership so he will have record of the buyer.  You just have to convince the shop owner to get it for you.   I would bug the hell outta that guy.  Even offer to pay him for the contact info if I can't pry it outta him.  There has to be a phone record or a text or an email.

Alan won't bite.  Just tell him your Gordon's kid and he will warm up to ya.
You can tell him I gave you his contact info also.

If that guy on the website had any info on Gordon's car he would have told me. I asked for the number and he said it was probably a Facebook Marketplace sell. He isn't a dealership he owned a restoration shop that he no longer owns. Told him if he finds the number of the guy he sold it to then to let me know. He was really nice and told me as much as he knew about the car. Being that long ago I am surprised he remembered it but then again it is a rare car and he is a Mopar guy as well. He said he would look around to see if he can find anything about it and let me know.

Now, to call Alan hopefully I can convince him to tell me where it is.

Just tried calling Alan and it says the number I dialed is out of service. Has anyone talked to him recently because the number I was given does not work anymore apparently.  :soshelp:

I am sorry to hear that has to be rough on the family to start the year. If you are in contact with the family send my condolences from Gordon's son Alan they might know Gordon as well.

Well I guess the search for Gordon's Barracuda goes unsolved not going to get to see the car again.

Thank you everyone for your help. I thought when I saw that post from cuda hunter in 2023 there might be hope but looks like it is a lost car now.

Thanks for letting us know. :('  How did you know Alan? Just wondering who you are?  I know he struggled with his health for a long time. I just messaged Peggy to pass on our condolences. I have nothing but fond memories of Alan! He was a very good hearted man.

That is even more unfortunate to end the year like that with the holidays and all that. I feel their pain I too feel like I just lost a family member with that car officially gone to wind. :'(

Don't give up yet.  I've been following cars for years before they were buyable.
I am always watching for barracuda's for sale looking for the M46.
Gordon's car is one I search for.  Probably in Florida somewhere tucked away in a garage.
