Crossmember Insulators (K-Frame bushings) source

Does anyone know of where to get replacement Insulator bushings (rubber/poly) for the K Frame?  :huh:
... of course a 1974 Duster is the project at hand ...

Are they the same as 73 B Bodies ? I didn't realize the later Dusters had them.
I don't play with many cars newer than 71  :dunno:

I didn't know the later A-bodies used them. I knew the B-bodies started using them in 73. Maybe the A-bodies used the same ones as the F,M,J bodies? I know a lot of people do away with the rubber bushings and install solid metal spacers on a performance build.

As far as I know A-bodies never had those, maybe he`s thinking of lower control arm bushings?

This is what happens when we start reading the manual without having the car in front of us (the k-frame is still on the car). We will wait until we get the car back and find out whether they used them or not....the book thinks they did.  :rofl:

That picture sure looks like the 73 B-Body set up to me?

I do not recall A body cars with those & I would use alum or steel anyway

That picture is for isoloated k-member cars. It's a rubber bushing between the unibody frame and k-frame (engine cradle)

No A-body (60-76) ever had an isolated kmember. 73- up B, R, F, M, J bodies are isolated kmembers. Don't know if later C-bodies went to those?

Don't order parts from the repair manual or some guide. physically go through the car and understand what's needed.

The book is the 1974 Chrysler Plymouth Chassis and Body Service Manual...so unless Plymouth decided to put useless information and diagrams in their manual, then I think at least one of the a-bodies came with an isolated k-member.

If you had read the previous posts, you would see that the car is currently not in our possession.  And...you would have read that I will check it out further on Tuesday. We were simply trying to get a handle on what we MAY need.  Why you see the need to tell me what and what not to do seems rather rude.
