Best part of the show is now gone.  :(

QuoteHey ghouls! We're officially in production for SEASON X!

Each season we like to make changes to create the best show possible. However, there is one change we did not plan on: Assembly tech Dave has decided to leave the show to pursue his own personal ventures. Everyone here at the GYC family wishes Dave the best in whatever path he chooses to take. He will surely be missed, but ghouls - don't worry - Season X is looking to be one of our best seasons yet! We've got some of the rarest and most valuable muscle cars on the list for resurrection!

Yup, he was pretty awesome.  Sad to see him go.  Has anyone heard why he left?

Rich G.

You can ask him, I heard he will be in Carlisle

Dave started his own business called DB Restorations.  It is about 15 mi from GYC.  :pokeeye:

He was one of the only reasons I watched the show at all.   I wish him well - seemed like a decent guy.

He always seemed like a great guy on the show.  I just sent a local guy to him to have a car restored so we'll see how he does.  From their first conversation he sounds like it started off well.  Here's his facebook page...

Dave will be at Carlisle this weekend. My brother, EdB@Carlisle, has been talking to him to set it up. Ed said that he's a really great family guy and loves Mopars. He said that they start talking business and end up talking cars. I'm looking forward to meeting him. He's going to be very hard to replace on GYC.

Has anyone invited him to our lunch on Saturday?
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

Seems that on these reality car shows that unless you are the head dipstick then you basically make very little for your efforts and you go off and start your own biz. Rinse and repeat.

Reminds me when KC on GMG went off and started his own paint shop.

That's pretty bad for GYC.  Mark should have offered him partnership.  Now he is going to have to go back to working on cars again which he hasn't done since season 4 or so.
