E-Body Production Info

I am sure this has been discussed before, but I searched here, as well as google with and without ebodies.org in the search and did not really find much.  Curious if production numbers by type (HT / Convertible / GC and engine / trans) are posted anywhere?

I found the attached, and some info on Hagerty, but not sure if any of it is accurate....

I know, everyone thinks they have 1 of a few etc etc, but I was surprised to see total ebody production was so low - from Hagerty:

"E-Body sales never matched optimistic projections of 225,000 cars a year. The year 1970 would be the best for both E-Body models with 55,499 Barracudas and 83,032 Challengers sold. Plymouth Barracuda sales broke down to 25,651 base Hardtops, 1,554 base Convertibles, 8,183 Gran Coupe Hardtops, 596 Gran Coupe Convertibles, 18,880 'Cuda Hardtops, 635 'Cuda Convertibles and 2,724 AAR 'Cudas."

  I wouldn't get too worried about production numbers.  There's cool car's,  rare car's and cool rare car's.
Go to any show and people run these numbers around like a mantra,  "it's so rare" "one of one"
U code is rarer than a V code , but which is "cooler"?
My H code 3spd is rare, but not cool, now that I put a 4spd in it.
I got a 71 bench , column auto, it is the coolest of them all.

Trick question, How many model years were there for E-bodies?

Can't count how many magazine articles I've read that said 4 years for E-body production. 1974-1970 is 4, so must have been 4 years of production. NOT!

Interesting that the OPs numbers show fewer 440/4 4 speed than Hemi automatic 70 Cuda hardtops, and less than 1,000 440/4s total.  How many 440/4 Challenger RTs were built in 1970?  It always seems to me that 70 Challenger RT 440/4 cars are relatively common relative to their Plymouth cousins.

I am not worried about production numbers as related to my particular car - I was reading an article on a car for sale that made some references to production I thought were interesting and did some Googling and was interested in the results.  I find it pretty fascinating that there were so few E bodies in total compared to the Ford / Chevy pony cars of the time - 280K or so total production for E-bodies compared to 200,000 Mustangs in 1970.  I also did not realize the 340 was only available in 'Cuda trim.  I also thought it was interesting that 440-6 Autos were slightly fewer than 440-6 4 speeds, yet though more rare not more valuable.

I figure there would be lots of information that could be, or has been, shared here regarding interesting production details.  I was more interested in the history and insights on the production numbers based on model / configuration etc.  I am not looking for anything in particular, just another rabbit hole I headed down for fun

In France, "Chrysler France" sold 26 Barracuda with 340 and 727. They are more equipped than many Cuda.
