here's a road test of a '71 383 MAGNUM Challenger w/flat hood & tips (somehow it morphs into a FoMoCo product in one of the interior shots  :drunk:)

  :stayinlane:

Why the back painted black?

Flatdad

I can't tell conclusively what color the panel really is. At 45 seconds you see a low rear shot, the panel color is still hard to tell, but you can see that the bottom half of the tail trim doesn't have any blackout treatment.

That was a nicely optioned test car, I spy:

Front & Rear Bumperettes
Rocker Trim
Wheel Well Trim
Hood Molding
Belt Molding
Flip Top Gas Cap
Rallye Wheels
383-4bbl
4 speed
Suregrip
Dual Exhaust
Bright Tips
AC, requiring 26inch Radiator
Power Discs
Rallye Dash
3 Speed Wipers
Power Steering
Rimblow Wheel
Bucket Seats
Cloth Upholstery
Console

I couldn't see anything for radio or speakers, but it does have an antenna. So, we know that it at least had a radio in it.

Anybody see more stuff? I'm not well versed on tire availability.

Wonder what became of this car...
