All -

When it comes to Engine date codes, how many are there?

I have a 1970 Challenger SE with a 440 (4 barrel).  The intake manifold is stamped 2806178 1/24/69, while there is a stamp near the oil pan of 3698830 RB (1972 - 1978 440 cu in).

How many other serial number/ date stamped major parts are there for an engine of this period?

Are these the only two?

Thanks

Practically every part has/had a date code....  Some have casting date & a stamped assembly date....

:iagree:  Mopar was great at stamping dates and part numbers on pretty much everything.  Carbs, heads, exhaust, water pump housing, alternator, Power Steering cooler, ect all have date codes stamped in them.
