Eeiii: I bet I won't like that episode.

Fantom Works is one of the more realistic shows with real issues, time frame and cost that it takes to fix them.  No drama or 3 day builds.

:iagree:
most of the "car shows" that are on TV suck! How anyone can watch some of theses shows I just don't get it. .Anything  with a time frame, forget it!

Dakota

Just watched the episode on DVR.  It didn't go into much detail beyond dealing with some rust on the underside and the multiple attempts needed to fix the carb.  Nothing fancy.... best watched with access to a "fast forward" option to skip all of the commercials that are jammed in, most of which are advertising other car shows on the same channel.

They all seem to ham it up for the cameras. I think it is the producers that encourage it. I wonder how much the producers pay the shops? Toymakerz has to be the worst. David Ankin comes off as a real ass. Graveyard Carz is a close second with the phony antics. I would rather watch the Power Block on Spike as they seem to concentrate on the cars although they do spend a lot of time promoting their sponsors with endorsements during the show.

Most of these shows should be sponsored by camshaft manufacturers. I'm sure just about every startup of a new engine on these shows takes out a camshaft.

I remember back in the 70s we used to laugh at Comp they were so bad , now they sponsor every cam swap & have somehow managed to get their catalog into every shop while getting everyone to toss any other cam mfg catalog out , the product has not improved just mega advertizing

Did anyone notice the eight grand tach on A 73.   :foul:
