it would be nice if they did. But until the F goes away in FCA I doubt it will launch.

I would have agreed with this a few years ago, but they have shown via the Hellcat and now the Demon that they aren't afraid to take chances and push the limits

True But, From what we see here in Michigan. They have a long way to go for vehicle sales besides these.

Let's say they release that car as the 'cuda, do you think it will help the value of the older barracuda's or hurt it.  Will prices for the older 'cuda go up or down?  Hmmm

:dunno:
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

I hope it's a four door :veryexcited:

it killed me inside when I saw the new Charger was a 4dr. the modified ones showed the potential, really wish they would have done a 2dr
Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

'70 Barracuda B5/B5 225 /6 3spd ... about as bare bones as they came

"FCA submitted the application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office on June 16th, looking to have the Cuda name certified for use on "motor vehicles, namely passenger automobiles, their structural parts, trim and badges," according to the filing. "

Please notice the phrase "parts, trim and badges".  There is a lot of money in licensing. Chrysler has demonstrated a willingness to vigorously defend itself against name infringment at times. This could lead to legal action that results with us seeing a lot less Cuda badges, shirts, models, etc until they those parties settle up with the FCA guys for permission to use the Cuda name.

Ergo - Mopar is not used on any vehicles, yet there was a time a decade or so ago where they went after anyone using it in any sort of name of parts, shirts, web sites, etc. Took a while for the dust to settle and certain latitude to be  granted for certain applications.

Good point. Same reasoning the Nats lost MOPAR as with Vegas.

I thinking they do bring it back it would have something better under the hood than the demon and challenger. I'm sure they will be a big seller like the others they brought back

But are they really big sellers? There are far, far more Dodge Journeys and Ford Mustangs out there than Challengers and Hellcats are only a small percentage of the Challengers.

This is what scares me about the new Cuda, they seem to get it wrong more often than not. Usually I don't even reconize or notice chargers just not appealing IMO.

:iagree:    Just WRONG to call a 4 door a "CHARGER "       :rebelflag"

Up.

Reviving the name plate brings attention to a car many people don't even know exists.  "What's a Barracuda?  What do you mean it's 'back'?"

So they look up the old ones, and some become collectors.  Also, folks who enjoy owning the "old and the new" will buy both and become collectors.

So demand goes up, value goes up.  Which means I guess I'd better hurry up...
