Help pricing to sell my 1974 360 Cuda TX9

I'm about to list my 74 Cuda for sale.  I bought it last year from Florida.  My friends at Perfection Automotive in Sterling, VA did the engine work. We pulled the engine and did a full rebuild including cam, pistons, lifters, rods, cam.  New headers, new Edelbrock AVS2 carb, water pump, alternator, and MSD ready to run distributor.  Block is numbers matching. The intake is an Edelbrock LP340.  We painted it all when we were done.  We rebuilt the transmission and added a shift kit.  New front end, replaced the fuel sending unit and probably a few other small things that I'm missing.  It runs like a beast now.

Body and frame are clean and straight.  The previous owner "blacked out" the car so the chrome around the windows are missing.  The interior is clean.  The seats seem to have new covers on the front.  The back seems to be original.  There is one small hole in the headliner.  It appears to be original and is a little dry but otherwise in good shape. 

I need help pricing.  I put about $12K into it since last year.  Thoughts?

Its hard for me to give you a fair guess of a price as its hard to really see the quality of the paint job.  I am going to guess you can get 33k and thats just a rough guess and I was in no way trying to insult you or the work done.  I am 20k upside down in my 73 restoration.  Sounds like you did a lot of work.  I wish you could just enjoy the fruit of your labor for a few years but I understand life happens.

with this which saves me from typing it, but not why figure out what you got into it? You say you bought it just last year, How much was it worth then ? The market hasn't changed much...Then decide how much the $12K you've invested has increased the value 

If you paid a lot for it then and only invested money in places people can't visually see, then the $12K might not increase the resale value as much as you hoped....at least not until you get somebody to actually DRIVE it and she that it runs like a "beast".

I agree high 20s to low 30s. Looks like a pretty nice car. If I were trying to break into the e body car world and I didn't want to rob the bank the do it, a car like yours would be perfect.

I know of a guy who had a 73 or 74 Cuda. Wasn't quite as nice as yours but it was decent. He was trying for years to sell it, up until recently, for $30k but couldn't.

Thanks for the thoughts and feedback!  I agree with all of it.  I listed on Ebay first just to see if I can get an offer or two.  I'm not trying to recover what I put into it at this point.
When I got the car it ran like crap, the transmission linkage was a disaster, the gas tank was leaking, the front end was shot, and the transmission was dead.  I made a huge mistake buying it site unseen from a crooked dealer called Just Toys in Florida (NEVER BUY FROM THEM). Whoever ends up buying it will always have something to fix/adjust/make their own, but I did a big part of the heavy lifting.

I just want it to go to a new home that has the passion to care and feed it.  Not that I don't love classic cars, I do.  I just don't have enough to invest in this car and do the other things that I want to do as well.

Hmm, my eBay alert didn't ping me on this one...

I'm really holding out for a higher "impact" color - blue or gold - but this looks nice.  Paint is such a concern for me though - I had a Cuda looked at in NYC this past weekend and it was a 20-footer car for sure - paint and panel fitment was TERRIBLE up-close...  Glad I didn't go all the way up there myself...

So what price did you put on it?

I have it listed on Ebay at $39,500 open to offers.  Bring a Trailer wants me to put a reserve in the low 20's.  I can't sell for that low
