I'm guessing $52K

Comes from the "Schroeder Collection". I wonder if they're relatives of mine?
Car brokerage that buys cars and sells most no reserve at Mecum auctions.  That seems like a risky business model. The pictures show they seem to have an affinity for Corvettes, I'd guess they wouldn't like their distant relative if in fact we are indeed related!  :P

It has a really low VON of 004417
Original fy1 with x9 interior and V3X black top.
Came with V5X originally.

I would think under the 50K threshold. Especially with the added fees.
Only because of a few other challengers I know of for sale that have better options.

But, I'm no high ballin auction attendee.  So, what street value is compared to the auction floor value is always different and often surprisingly high or low.

KC isn't a big auction and off season.  But some cars are getting some good action today.
On the other hand, some cars yesterday were absolute giveaways.  A clean looking 82 Frank Sinatra Edition Imperial only got $7150 after fees.  Pocket change!
And someone took a rare historic 36 Airflow home for 11K.
I'd love to own both of those cars, not that I have anywhere to keep them though.

I think this convt. will do okay, it's got resale looks and that's what most of the auction buyers go for. Of course, I've been wrong before, maybe. And of course "you wouldn't be able to build it for that".

I should hope for all you challenger people, that, this challenger convert would be worth more than mid 50's
I wouldn't sell my barracuda drivable project for that amount.

At the end of the day it's still just a 318 car.  Even with a drop top what is top dollar for a G code?
I think back to a Mecum auction near me about 6 years ago.  There was a red G code 71 Challenger vert there and I looked it over.  It looked really solid and nice.  I thought if I was in the market I'd try to buy it.
It sold for only $32K!  And it sold to someone apparently in my town.  He showed up the following spring at a local cruise and I talked to him briefly.  I've only seen the car a couple times since.  WTH, you stole the car dude, take it out and show it off!  :alan2cents:

Super looking car. I'd probably toss the V5X's back on, just because I have a nice set.

Sold for $61,600 with the buyers fee.  Pretty strong money for a 318 car!
