How rare?

6bblgt, this is great info, where did you get it from?  I always wondered about my options too!

R/T SEs were usually better optioned than their "pedestrian" R/Ts  - that was basically their purpose UPSCALE

how close to the sheet and/or tag is the car restored? 
sill mouldings, RH painted racing mirror, 15" wheels/tires & space-saver spare would be additional OPTIONs below 20% installation rates

FYI: there should be a HOLLEY carburetor on top of that 383HP

Mine is an R/T 'U' coded car that came with a hemi 4 speed, dana 3:52 rear, SE trim, light package, AM 8 track (which was gone when I bought it), E60-15 tires with a space saver spare.

I might have a Holley with the correct part number and date code?  If you like I can check?

Probably needs the 4369 I have been looking for as it has AC. There is one on  :ebay: right now, but is not even close for my SPD. I do have a 4369, but waiting to find an early 69 dated carb. Share the SPD of your car and we should be able to get you fixed up if wanted.  :cheers:

It appears to be extremely close to spec.  Mind you I was told that much of the car is original when I got it.  I know some things were restored, but everything looks as it should. 

Interesting on the carburetor, the owner said that he restored the "factory" carb, I wonder if the original was replaced years before?

The 1970 E body 383 engines were the same ones used for the 1970 B body 383 engines right?  Didn't matter which body style it went in?

I had to dig into carburetor application for 1970 383 engine B bodies a few months ago for my Road Runner build.
What I found with those was that the 330 horsepower auto trans cars used Carter carbs, while the 330 horsepower manual trans & all the 335 horsepower engines used Holley carbs.
Different list numbers for the various combinations of air conditioning, California emissions, & fresh air hood.

I wonder if this Challenger could have received a 330 horsepower engine?  (different cam)  :notsure:

Would you PLEASE help me with something?  I'd like to know where your cruise control wiring passes through the firewall.  A picture would be great if possible.  (inside the car or under the hood)  Your firewall is original correct?

I've heard that the Barracuda cruise wiring passes through the same place as the 4 speed reverse light wiring, which makes sense because you couldn't get cruise with a 4 speed trans.
I've also heard that the Challenger cruise wiring passes through the same place as the 'Cuda road lamp wiring.  I always thought this was odd because Barracuda & Challenger both use the same cruise control wiring harness, so I'm not sure why it would be routed differently.
Cruise control cars are hard to find, so it would be great if you could provide some information!

I'm going to install factory cruise control on my own 70 Challenger, so I'd really like to make sure the hole gets drilled in the correct spot.  I know it goes in one of the factory dimples.

I think @anlauto might be able to help with cable routing too. if I remember correctly he just dealt with a cruise control resto project just last year

This is a 70 Challenger with factory cruise control. The wiring goes through the 1" hole to the right and slightly above the bulkhead fastening nut.

I can confirm that my N-code Gran Coupe (330hp) had the Carter AVS.  And yes, the cam is different from the 335 hp N- code engine.  The 330hp 383 shared the same cam and heads as the 383 2bbl L-code engine.
