Mr Cuda

I find it interesting that this old documentation shows 19 total 71 cuda converts w/shaker.
7 of 17 are on known 440-6 converts, leaving 12 for all others.
Soon every convertible will be a factory shaker.

That would be great.
EVERY Cuda should have a 'Shaker' or 'AAR' hood, as that fake scooped 'Raisin-Brand' hood still
looks as hideous as ever after 50 years. LOL

I happen to love the styling of the rallye hood.  and when painted and shiny, gives off some wonderful reflections as one drives down the road.  I bought a shaker for a rallye hood car, but have mixed feelings about putting it on.  The shaker is becoming more and more popular, and seems to be common with tribute cars.  And who wants common?

Back when I was growing up, you were either a 'gear-head' or a 'waxer'. LOL
A 'gear-head' wants the best performance from their ICE
ICE loves cold fresh air for better proformance & efficiency.

A 'waxer', is, well, a 'waxer'.

'Shaker' hoods are common?
I'm guessing that the ratio is probably 1 'shaker' per 10,000 'Raisin Bran' hoods?

Could you imagine a 'Raisin Bran' hood on a hemicuda?
That would be awful & blasphemy.

Now an 'AAR' hood on a hemicuda would be awesome, & should've been an option like the TA hood option on a Hemi Challenger.
A quick & easy way to lose 100 pounds on the front end.

For every new 'Shaker', that means one less 'Raisin Bran' hood, which is a good thing. LOL
Like I said, could you imagine a Raisin Bran hood on a hemicuda?
The 'Shaker' hood is the best looking/functional hood, of the muscle car days.

Also it's all about the Benjamins today too.
Add a 'Shaker' & a new fender tag, & make a lot of money.

Now, the 'billboard' is the worst thing from the muscle car days.
The hockey stick decal was more tasteful.

An AAR hood & rear spoiler would be a better looking/functional, & lightweight combination.

A funny story about the Raisin Bran hood.
A company called SpeedKore, which creates goofy looking gen2 carbon fiber Chargers, started selling carbon fiber Cuda Raisin Bran hoods.
It was a marketing failure.
If they had made carbon fiber AAR hoods, it would've been a marketing success.
