I just want my plum crazy purple '71 440 'Cuda back.

 I still have mine.

My first thought was it definitely would have to be a car I can drive and enjoy regularly so probably not a Hemi car for fear of having it destroyed. I would have to say pretty much any 4-speed AAR or T/A. Although the gorgeous Hemi orange 71 Hemi challenger is almost the same as what I have now!    :haha: :pokeeye:
Keep yer foot in it

I would be very happy with what I once owned back in the early 70's; my Challenger RT 440-6 in B7 blue; factory shaker, 4:10 Dana, ps, pdb, and factory wing spoiler. Still have the build sheet!

I like this one.
Would I trade it straight across for the $3.5M 71 4-speed Hemicuda Convertible? Sure.
Then I would sell it and buy this one back and retire with an extrta $3,425,000 in my bank account.

Mine would be JS27R0B100022. In any of it's iterations.
Started as Hemi convertible, TX9, 4.10 Dana, shaker, power windows. Then, it was transformed into the Yellow Jacket and finally the Diamante.

a friend of mine was building a HEMI convertible "clone" of the original black "PILOT" car - but sold it a few years ago & the current owner was going in a modern HEMI direction

the paperwork I've seen spec. it originally as: (NO SHAKER)
all black, stripe delete, RALLYE wheels/HEMI, 4-spd, 3.54s/power: steering-disc brakes-windows-top/dual chrome mirrors, 8-track, rim blow, 6-way, deluxe seat belts, console, light package, pedal dress-up

Be tough to pick between a `70 Hemicuda or an AAR. Hemi would be 4 speed, no console, low option, black or In-Violet, set up as street brawler, AAR would be 4 speed, pretty open as to color as they look good no matter what.

Would love to see the fender tag or broadcast sheet for the PILOT car.
Any idea if it was a leather or vinyl interior?

This one, but without the exterior mistakes. If I can swing it, I'll clone my current '71 to be similar.

One of my favorite 71 Challengers.
The DODGE hood lettering kills me on that one.

That's a little bit shocking, but I bet he got a real charge out of it!  :D
