I was seriously thinking about flying down to look at the cars in person and maybe buy one.  But if Mecum really owns them now then I would prefer not to bid against the auction house.

:iagree:  Too many "fake" bids thrown out there to drive the price up.  When watching on TV, every once in a while one of the camera's will catch Frank or Dana just throwing up their hand and yelling out a price with no one around them bidding.

Was watching a bit of the Mecum Dallas auction live this morning and they were previewing the Black T/A and talking it up.  It will be going tomorrow!  Any guesses on what the Black T/A will bring?

Black T/A should be $80K -$120K depending on actual condition. :alan2cents:

That would be great to get an in person review of the cars so we know if they are nice as the photos make them out to be.    :bigthumb:

With the rules to sell a car as matching numbers at Mecum, you need to have owned the car since new. Cost you a lot if it found not to be. Can be rejected the next day because the alternator is not matching if the buyer sobers up and has buyers remorse.

Mecum removed the F8/V1G Challenger TA from the auction listing several days ago.   It is the one I am interested in and was planning to bid.  I always find it interesting when cars are listed to be at an auction and they don't or can't show up.  I know "things happen", but it also seems like a little false advertising too.

I did get a nice email from Mecum that a Rep. would be calling me about the car.  So, we'll see.... :dunno:

Well, today is the day!  We're going to see what that Black T/A brings.   :inlove:  They are on lot F58 and the Black T/A F200 starts off the run of the 7 really cool E-Bodies.   If the T/A was done to a higher level I think it could touch $120k, but with some of the little details not be correct I'm going to guess it does $90k.

Mecum is on NBCSN from 1:30 till 4:00 EST today.  Might watch it cross the block.    :rebelflag"
