avatar_340Challman @340Challman did you ever come up with a solution?

340Challman

No, I've been working on other things and haven't got back to it. I've been thinking about it though. Running through my head what I might use to make my gasket. If there's anything I can think of that might already have a taper to it. Right now though I'm more focused on getting to the point of turning the key. So the antenna is down on the list.

Barracuda:  2983 162
Challenger: 2983 164

Any idea if the part numbers are cast into the part or are the casting numbers different than the part number in this case?

I don't know, but it's uncommon for the casting and parts book part numbers to be the same.

this listing on epay shows a blurry image of a purported barracuda bezel.

I can make out the first 4 digits to be 2983 but the last (7th) digit does not appear to be a 2 or a 4.  I'm guessing the casting number is 2983 168

AMD has antenna adaptors and the last 3 digits of the AMD part number match the last 3 digits of the part numbers given by avatar_mtull @mtull above, for both.

I bought the Challenger version from 521 Restorations:  https://521restorations.com/e-body/antenna/antenna-bezel/.  I suspect (but don't know for certain) AMD and 521 may be using the same supplier?  My car has the same issue with vertical alignment however, I'm not sure it has anything to do with the bezel as someone previously worked the area.

I like to cover my cars when in the shop...As with most my vehicles I got tired of dealing with the antennas and simply installed an electric antenna..I picked one out with a chrome top nut that would match the factory hardware and installed it..That makes the issue of antenna alignment much easier..Simply move the under fender unit until it looks straight...I made a bracket that fastened to the existing plastic liner hardware screws so no extra holes...The antenna switch is under the dash and hidden..
