I thought this would be a fun topic. What is the most outrageous story or asking price you and personally experienced.

I'm always on the lookout for a new car for a friend or a project. The other day I had the privilege I'm talking to a guy that had a 1970 barracuda 318 car for sale. It needed everything but floors as he had replaced those. He completely agreed with the prices on Barrett-Jackson and he was adamant that this car finished would be a $90,000 car but he was willing to let it go for a trade he wanted brand new Challenger for this car. He didn't really see much difference in value between this car and Hemi cars. I have a few other stories about cars since I've been looking for a few years. What stories do you guys have?

In the late 70s I tried to buy a complete car from a salvage yard, a 73 Challenger. Average condition, everything there, blown motor, one fender dented and folded to the point of being irreparable. $5000. Guy told me it would do a wheelstand if I just replaced the motor   I did end up writing a story with him as a character.

Unfortunately all these new TV shows have made people believe what they have is a gold mine.

I still laugh when I see Ebodies over 100k and they are BH models or with some Hemi verbiage.

Cannot fix stupid.
