Poll: Cuda or Challenger

A 1970 'Cuda AAR; hands down. I wanted one of those since they came out and I was not even able to drive, yet. I always saw the 'Cuda as the "tougher" stance. The Challenger came across to me as the mellower monster. Overall, it all amounts to simply personal opinion. The 1970 Challenger T/A is (and always will be) one of the top Dodges on my list. My boy has scored a '70 Challenger R/T for his first car and I so wish we lived closer together to spend all of our free time to resurrect his new project. I was all Mopar prejudice then, and some things just don't change all that much. Both are pretty timeless vehicles.

with the tougher stance look as well. My fellow Cuda owners back in the 80`s used to tease the Challenger owners by asking them how the little sister was doing that day when we met them. 

It was just some good natured ribbing though as we all liked them both.

And I did own a 71 Challenger RT 340 Auto, P/S, PDB in GF7 (Dark Green Metallic), Black Vinyl Roof, White/Black interior & Center Console,  which I fixed up & sold to fund the Cuda restoration.

That last choice just has too much stuff hung on the outside and too plain on the inside for me. Yet I like a 71 Road Runner with all the trimmings on the outside. It's just that for me the clean body design of an E-body is the appeal. When you start hanging jewellery from every corner it takes away from the clean design. But that's just me.

I lke the '70 version of both, certainly the trans am based versions are a fav. Don't care for the '71s in either variety. '72 and up I  prefer the Cudas...so seems kinda ironic that the only one I actually own is a  '74 Challenger, my least favorite of the bunch. But, I'm also a cheapskate so that was the lowest cost of entry for me.

Well: None of them are ugly that's for sure. I like the 2-3-4 cars just fine, it's just that if I had the choice I prefer the earlier versions.

Owned a '72 340 'Cuda back in the day. Always loved the round taillights but now have a '71 and have warmed up to it's taillight design.

That's a tough one,I love em' both. I was originally looking far an AAR when I happend across my V code Challenger and couldn't pass it up. At first I was like aw man a Challenger but the more I stared at it in my garage it really grew on me and looking at the front and the grille it looked sinister. And I still want an AAR so maybe someday I will have both cause' my Chally is not going anywhere!

Prefer the 'cuda as well and it is the stance as I described in my newbie thread.  I hated what GM did to the late '60's Camaro in '70 making it lower and flatter/wider looking.  That to me is the same difference between the 'cuda and Challenger.  Not to the same extreme, but same direction.  Love Challengers too, but prefer the 'cuda.
