Power steering cap- how to fix gasket

Hi everyone,

I have a federal mogul style power steering pump and it leaks terribly at the cap. I can't seem to find a decent replacement that isn't stupid money here in Canada.

How are people fixing the gasket? Is it available anywhere? Do we cut the old one out? Any tips are helpful!

I cut a piece of thick rubber gasket and placed it inside the cap. Did not take out the old if there was any. No leak except it takes some muscle to close the cap. It become easier after a few times.
