Looking at an old post here discussing T/A hoods I noticed the prototype hoods had a raised pentastar emblem at the very front.
https://forum.e-bodies.org/cuda-and-challenger-general-discussion-roseville-moparts/2/1970-challenger-ta-prototype-rare-photos/207/

This emblem is not on the production T/A Challengers or the current repops.

I have a T/A hood I bought at a swap meet over 20 years ago.
This hood also has the pentastar emblem at the front.
I would assume it's an old repop maybe from a company that has gone out of business? My hood does not have the screens in the back.

Any ideas on the history of the T/A hoods with the pentastars on them?

Don't know much about it, but I like it!

the prototype T/A hood that ended up on "El HEMI" back-in-the-day ***  http://elhemi.com/
was restored by Resto Rick *** http://www.restorick.com/

I'm sure there are pics out there that you can compare to yours, Rick would be the one to discuss it with if your hood has similar details
one thing I remember is the scoop wasn't in the same location - it was 1"-2" closer to the windshield
