in the early 70"s, Chrysler France built a racing teams driving real Hemi cudas and big blocks cudas. most races were hillclimbings and some track races.

Head of team was Henri Chemin (a former Ford guy), drivers were Marie Laurent, JC Géral, Gérald Sarrazin and others, many champioship wins.

Maybe you already heard of them but it was to my knowledge the only official team outside the US racing Hemicudas

here is a video with 70 and 71 cudas, they are doing testing on open roads before hillclimbing races. they had lots of issues with Chrysler wheels which often broke due to poor quality wheels and roads

The first video is great, thanks Lilian!

The second unfortunately doesn't work.

Anyway, I found a third video of these 3 great Cudas from Chrysler France...quite short video from a promo-film of headlight-manufacturer CIBIE: https://youtu.be/iFguwudKBIg

Sorry for highjacking: And here is a fourth video that might be of interest for you guys, though it isn't vintage: this shows Hemi-Cuda-replica racing at the worlds greatest racetrack: Nürburging - Green Hell. In building this Cuda my local guys from moparshop.de were heavily involved if not they even built that complete car. Here you go:

Interesting historical videos of how wide spread Mopar was and is, thanks

Pretty cool old-school video footage!! A bit scary in some parts too ... for the people in those little Renaults and Puegeots coming down the hill while that 'Cuda was swinging wide around those turns!! Yikes!!
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

That is way cool!  :perfect10:  :stayinlane: Looks like those hill roads could be right here in Northern California only their a little smoother than California  :haha:

Brads70

Cool stuff!  :bradsthumb:  They sure could have used some bigger torsion bars, shocks and sway bars.
