Rolled the coal a few too many times.... sounded like just a few seconds after the turbo kicked in.

GrandpaKevin

Too much boost probably lifted the head off the block.

Luckily the driver didn't get hurt and got the heck out of there in time

He was lucky.. Cause if getting outta there was a part of it he was a little late... I'm not saying he was slow, or that I could move that quickly anymore... But what happened was nearly over when he cleared the cab...

Sure sucks for the owner of the truck, but also sucks for the owner of the dyno.... :bigmoney:

"sounded like just a few seconds after the turbo kicked in." More like when the turbo blew through the hood!  :))  I wonder if he'll try for a warranty repair. LOL

Could have been a number of things that failed , maybe it hydraulic blew the piston apart breaking the crank , not much to take home after that !!  :Thud:

looks like the drive got a pretty sever burn on his arm. he walks past the camera in the longer video.  Wouldn't surprise me if the passenger was hurt too.

But yeah that is an impressive boom!

You can see that massive turbo decided to leave the engine ahead of everything and still looks quite intact
