Mr Lee

I recently made some SE C-pillar emblem clips for my brother who's restoring an RT/SE.  He said the clips are impossible to find and no one reproduces them.  So, I was wondering if there's a demand for them.  If so, maybe I'd make some more to sell.

I started with a sheet of stainless.  Cut, drilled and filed it into the Fratzog shape, then welded a stainless steel screw to it and cut the head off.  The originals had a spring loaded clip, but these get bolted to the car from the inside.

The end user would epoxy the clip to the back of the emblem before installing the emblem to the car.  Or you can peen over the heads of those two little posts to hold it down.

If there's a demand, I would have to still figure out a cost.  Like most things, they took longer to make than you'd think.

Also curious what others have done ?

That looks awesome!  Nice work!
I'm sure it took a while.

I do hope there is some demand.

If you decide there is enough demand for some sets I would be a tag along and pick up a set just because they are non reproduced parts.

I believe you've just 'designed a better mouse trap', and I also hope that there is some demand. Great design - clean and simple.

I think that is great and I would consider it.
In addition to availability, they would also be more secure. (So when you take your car through a car wash they don't get ripped off! :unbelievable: )
