As many of you know I took over the shakerhood.com - Northwest Performance business after Ben Snobar passed away a couple of years ago.  I ran it for Ben's wife who still owned the business.  Just wanted to let everyone know that a management company has taken over the company to run it for Barb so I am going to go back to what I was doing before, restorations and used parts sales.

It was a pleasure keeping the shakerhood.com parts business going after Ben passed and hope everyone who ordered from us has been happy!  Going to be transitioning out in the next week or two but am of course still running my company Rocket Restorations.  Message me if you need any help with anything.

Good job, "management company" sounds a bit scary though.

:iagree:  I prefer to buy parts from people and not "Management Companies".  Wish you were still in charge because I think you were doing great things with it.

Thanks for taking over after the passing of Ben  :thankyou:
Your heart was in helping out fellow Mopar enthusiasts
Had a number of great conversations with the man before his death.

Management Company (reminds me of a hedge fund)  you know what hedge funds do when they take over the running of a company; they maximize their own profits for short term gains and sell off assets.
Time will tell.

@rocketresto  I'm curious why Ben's wife made that decision?  You were doing a great job and it sounded like business was good, right?  By pushing you aside and putting a "Management Company" in your place what does she expect to accomplish?

And did she make you sign a no compete clause?  What's to stop me and other people that know how great of a guy you are from encouraging you to start up your Shaker Parts business?  Buying from guys like you and Ben was easy because you share our passion for these cars that we all have.  Buying from a Corporation that does not give a rats a$$ about these cars is not something I want to do.  And I just checked, ShakerParts.com is available.   :bigthumb:

Would be great for someone (mopar enthusiast) to start another " Shaker Hood parts" AND related Hemi, Sixpack (engine detailing) components. I see a red flag about this business transition. I Have purchased many Hemi Detail pieces and although most parts are good, there is a lot of room for improvment. Someone could and should take this area to the next level. Frank Badalson and Dave Wise are doing an awsome job but there is a big opportunity in reproducing factory correct Shaker components.  For example; Just the non-shaker air cleaner bases are not correct. In three major areas !   :o  And these are not difficult to fix !  The door is wide open.   Yes... I already know about logistics, so save your breath. Someone has aleady Started many other fields of quality repro parts.
