Sorry, it's been a really long time since I've posted but I do still come on and check out what everyone's doing occasionally.

I have TTI headers which I believe were ceramic coated, but I noticed a little surface rust where they mount up to the heads.

Does anyone have any recommendation to take off the surface rust? Just polishing it with the sock didn't move much rust.

Thanks in advance.

I left California 3 years ago so I unfortunately have to store it in a non-heated garage in the winter here in Washington so that's probably not helping.

What? You left the sunshine state?

Where is the rust? inside or outside? Where they did the ceramic coating?

If the rust is coming thru from underneath the coating there is not much you can do about it other than having them sandblasted and re-coated, you could try wet sanding with 1000 grit and polishing but I`m afraid it will just keep coming back.

I remember that when I put ceramic coated TTIs on my 440, they discolored on the first run. Someone, maybe TTI, had recommended a high temp spray paint that matched closely to the original coating.
