Greetings guys,
I have been kicking around the idea of selling my restored 1970 340 4 speed Challenger ( I do drive it a lot). I was trying to do some looking at what other ones have been going for on the web to get some price ideas but it looks like nobody sells original 340 cars. Most are 318 cars converted to whatever. Anybody know a good source for this research? I want to start a new project but my bride says something has to go first. :(

Thanks,
Bob

bob,
1 ) start at $100,000 and wait by the phone.
2 ) put it on ebag ,no reserve and let it ride.
  3) post some pics and good info of it on here and maybe a member here will be the new owner.
  4) if you let  the keyboard jockeys with 2 dimes in there pocket  tell you what it worth ,,you will never sell it.

Ooooo, I like the $100,000 deal!! Not a fan of the bag though. I haven't posted pictures on this site of anything. Is it easier than Moparts? That was a real pain when pictures got involved. An I guess it was a loaded question about value but I figured maybe I was missing something about real 340 cars getting sold and I have no clue how to ferret that info out.

Thanks,
Bob

Posting photos is super easy.  When you make a reply, just click the "CHOOSE FILE" below the text box where you type your reply (under Attach) and you can post photos that easy.  Click "More Attachments" to add up to 10 photos per post.

There are some A66 Challenger owners on here, I know they will have an idea of the value.... :cooldance:

It's worth what someone is willing to pay, or more accurately what you can get for it. :crazytalk: I only have a $2000, so we now know where the floor is. LOL. Good luck. If you do sell it, let us know.

Hello, I've been watching A66 Challengers lately, and the value trend is about on par with a basic 383 R/T... but it seems to depend a lot on color, options, etc...
This dealer has two in stock:
https://www.soneffs.com/product-page/1970-dodge-challenger-3
https://www.soneffs.com/product-page/1970-dodge-challenger-4

One is a rare Western Special to boot... I think that car could be fixed up to have more eye appeal!
If a dealer asks 40K, I gues a private seller would ask 35? Hard to put a value without details, mileage, colors, equipment, original drivetrain, restored or original???
A66 Challengers are not very well-known, and it's worth explaining what they are if you advertise it, basically a 340 R/T without the badges...

Hi Bob,

Can you tell us about it in more detail? Pics would be nice. I just came over from Moparts too - can't tolerate the Infolinks pop up ads anymore🤬

Thanks!

Original owner put on the wing, chin spoilers and six-pac (Ford carbs that I switched to some NOS ones I had).  Otherwise restored to stock with a few driving upgrades.

Thanks,
Bob

RUNCHARGER

Looks like a great car, I probably wouldn't sell it, think how hard it will be to find another one as good.

Nice, what are you doing about the blue body side moldings, are they back on the car ?

Looks great!
Nice options, too, buckets, console, Rallye dash, six-way seat, and a great original color!
I'd say top of the market for this one, 40-45K?
But as Runcharger mentioned, it would be hard to find/restore another at that price...
Good luck with whatever your decision will be!

Numbers matching. I think the only parts that are not what it was born with are the 340 name plates, windshield, and previously mention parts. (tires, belts fluids stuff like that are changed obviously) And I also added factory cruise control. It keeps me from speeding too much! Mouldings are back on but come off when the  inserts come unglued. Ideas on how do I glue them on permanently Alan?? I will be hard to replace but......

Thanks,
Bob
