Hey all,

I just wanted to show some updated interior photos on the 71 Convertible.  None of the drivetrain is original so I took some editorial license and did what I liked.  It was originally a 318 car now a 340 car.  It seems like it's had the sound deadening in there forever and that I was never going to make any progress.  I think it turned out great.  Still need a few things like the seat belt mounting covers.  Do they sell those?  I can't seem to locate any.  If you don't see the wood grain on the console and door panels it's because I'm not a fan of that look and went with the black vinyl grain applique.  They turned out great. Remember not an original car.

I need to give a special shout out the Neil P. AKA Chryco Psycho for helping me out with all of my electrical gremlins.  All of the harnesses in the car are new and all didn't play well.  Neil spent many nights on the phone with me helping me diagnose these issues and if it wasn't for him the interior wouldn't be in.  Thanks Neil.   :bigthumb:

Now back onto the engine and completing that.

Plumbing the A/C.  It's not stock so I have to bend and run lines.  Once I do that I can put the grille in and then the bumpers.  Finishing up the last little bit of wiring in the engine bay, horns and such fill it with fluids and keep my fingers crossed that it starts.

Funny side note.  I bought new wheels about 5 years ago from a company in South Florida and they didn't clean the inside of the wheels off to apply the adhesive backed weights.  Since they put the weights on over the dust I keep finding them on the floor of the shop.  So now I have to take them off and give them to a buddy to re-balance with new weights.   :))

That sucks , a couple of seconds work to clean the rim when sticking the weights on would save a whole bunch of work  :Thud:
