I've heard Tom Morello is a big Mopar guy, maybe that is who had the idea to use Vanishing Point in their video?
Primal Scream named their album "Vanishing Point" after the movie, and there is a song called "Kowalski" on the album.

I loved Chris in Soundgarden back in the 90s & into Audio slave , too bad he passed last month RIP Chris
