IRON MAN

Saw this on Google Chrome Images and wondered what the owner's intention was? If there was a continuation series of the T/A Challenger in 1972, is this what it would have looked like?  :dunno:

It's hard to beat the look of a T/A.  The lower quarter side gills are awesome!!!   :twothumbsup:

I like it.

Anything incorrect about that car Allan?  :D

I think it looks good, I'm glad they refrained from blacking out the grill surround, I think that would have been a mistake, although I would have considered an Argent silver because the pink looks a little out of place there with the black hood :alan2cents:  The 71 side scoops go real well with the T/A stripes too  :bigthumb:

I really like the argent grill surround idea. Has that been done on a 72-74 Challenger? Would be interesting to see

The black looks good on that car, as do the wheels.

Love everything about that look, I wouldn't like the view from the rear though.
Even though my 1st car was a 72 Challenger, never liked the tail lights.

I like it a lot better than the 2016 Challenger T/A.....  ::)
I sure wish that Chrysler had continued the T/A in '71 as originally planned.  Even with a 4 barrel instead of the 6 pack.  Imagine if they'd decided to run the T/A package through '74 to compete against the Z28.  :yes:

When I stumbled upon this picture, it gave me a moment to pause and take it in. My gut response was I like it. Why did Chrysler not continue with the T/A?  Maybe because Chrysler pulled out of Trans Am racing, budget, insurance companies, tough market, etc?

BTW, UPS called yesterday, to ask if I would be home this Wednesday to take delivery of a crate that weighs 55 lbs. and is from Year One.  It is the T/A hood I ordered.  :banana: Last weekend, I mounted a T/A duck-tail spoiler. I got a quote from a well-known California car painter (Lucky Seven Body Shop) Marcos the owner quoted $500 to paint the T/A hood and spoiler to match the T/A side stripes in satin black. Sounds fair to me. Might have Marcos paint 71 Challenger side gills in B5 blue while he's at it. I did get some two-piece wheels for it also (another post to follow).

Husk Challenger

Well, i really like the look of this car!
The front grill that i don't really like on 72+ looks good to me with the TA Hood and the combination of colors.

Do you think these wheels are 18"?

TA's are the best looking challengers for me, i love them!

Friend of mine had one that went a step further with a convertible 71 T/A! All original parts, drivetrain from a wrecked T/A...
