Anyone build these and/or use them? Are they safe? I just hate jack stands and have heard a few people rave about these for safety.

I've considered building a set but haven't found a real reason to just yet. There are only a handful of jobs where I think I wouldn't need to turn the rear axle or a front tire and get the car up that high.

I don't like jackstands either, given that I use nothing but 6ton or 12ton stands and get the car very high and very stable.

It looks like they are made from 2x4s .  Made in sections ,looks like three high currently. Where you could use two in the front, four in the back, or any combination to elevate the car where you need it to be.  Each piece cut 12" long, 4 pcs to make one section, each section screwed together, and stack .  Looks strong to me.

Is this something you buy, or as it looks, just some 2x4's screwed together?

Those are what I did back before I had concrete floors.  Works great!
