From what I can tell that seat color combo really is something that mopar did as an option.  It just
looks cheap and lazy though...  like someone had a car with orange interior and couldn't find orange
seat backs so they used the black ones they had laying around.

Very late production, one of the highest '71 VINs I have seen.

A bit pricey...     I remember when it took a hemi to send a 'cuda to six figures...

That car is build date is 17 days before my 71 cuda and about 16000 difference in ththe vin.  I think he will not come close to the asking price

last month on eBay $200K was the "buy-it-now" price

Who knows  :notsure:  Prices are all over the place. Tom Lembeck still has the former Steve Klein FJ6 340 'vert for sale at a whopping $205K. I think somebody with deep pockets will step up and make a substantial offer.
Cheers!
Tom

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Very different with the red seats and black backs . No I don't think it would be for me looks a little like a checks board game in side IMO

As far as I know this one sold. It's in New York now. I tend to think that the orange cuda will move at around 125k. One of 33 four speeds. Not an easy one to find

He should lose the black scoop inserts and put them back original EV2.
Dont get me wrong, lots of people do that, me included back in the day,
but they just cheapen a car of that calibre and asking price.
Documented or not,  I would billboard and polyglas that car and it would sell fast.

anlauto

I think $149K would be the top price he might get....It would have to be fully restored and fresh to get close to $200K  :alan2cents:

Billboards, really Terry ?  Why not a bellybutton too.....everybody has one of those

I don't like primer on a car but it would probably sell faster with primered quarters alright. It is impossible to not look at the kiddy scoops on this car.

I didn't say I'm in favour of all of them having billboards, I'm just saying to sell it...which is what he wants to do right.
I used to own this 340-4spd when it looked like this...and as it looks today...
I sold it in 1991 and after that the shaker and billboard got added and it sold for $20 G more added to the new price every time it resold
Which one gets the second look.

I know what yer sayin Terry  :pokeeye:  I don't remember you owing that 340 Car...I would have love to buy something like that back in the day....that would have been my "keeper"....I guess I would have still had my yellow convertible at that time

You just hung around Toronto too much Alan and never got out to see what us country guys were finding.
I owned this one too a year earlier in 1990, another one of the 30 built, 340 4spd orange /orange interior, billboard, rubber bumper car, well optioned and documented by fender tag, b/c sheets...pretty car, bad pictures

The 383 convertible belongs to a good friend of mine. I've crawled around the car quite a bit and its very original. He's had a bunch of guys interested but no ones wants to fly out right now and see it. The timing is really bad for a high end sale right now.
