Cuda Cody

Based on the location of the L31 shown on the take it is not as hard as it might seem to know the exact number of codes before and after that specific code.  Someone that knows these cars well should be contact / hired to inspect the car before it's taken apart.  It should be possible to reproduce the tag to almost perfection based on what it there and what is known about tags / options.

I agree 100%, but it certainly hurts the value of the car. My bid was $18K.....and now I feel that was generous :looney:

I think $20k is fair for the car.   It's a real 71 Cuda.  If it had a sheet or good fender tag I could see someone going up to $25k.

HP_Cuda

71 340 4 speed @ 20k and about 40 to finish would put it fairly close to its full value eh?

I don't think that is a $40k number that it could be done for.  With all the rust I think it will be a bit more then that.     But still a car worth saving.

:iagree: there is almost enough of that tag to be considered documentation!  Is there a digit on the top line of the right "half"?

HP_Cuda

That's what I thought and I was being generous at 40k to finish.

Guess it's up to someone who really wants to save the Cuda.  :dunno:

Honestly there might be the only real rare and needed number still visible.    :takealook:  The VON.

  So it is a N96 car after all.... :bradsthumb:

Cool Car for sure! Who ever buys it should have it dipped and not blasted.

By that do you mean it will cost $300K to restore it ?
