So I just happened to be in the area of this small auction house and noticed they were getting ready to have a classic car auction this weekend. I decided to pull in and check out their inventory. Pulling in I noticed this poor Challenger sitting out back :(  Sadly Per it's dash VIN plate it was an original 1972 JS 340 car. It looked too have been in beautiful condition. The only body panel that wasn't damaged was the driver's quarter panel, even the roof was buckled. The front frame look pretty bent.
Looking up the auction house website it appears the car was slated to go to the auction but obviously it was pulled. Not sure of the story behind the wreck but the before pictures look to have been taken at the same auction house location so maybe somebody took it for a joy ride and has some explaining to do.

I agree. Such a shame. Looks to have been a nice car. Wonder what it would have brought had this not happened?

Need to borrow Mark Worman's jig table to redo the front rails. Lots of parts can be salvaged and rebuild. I hope they don't junk it.

Such a shame! This reminded me of an accident with another "Bright Red" Challenger a few years ago, in Netherlands. According to the local media the driver was very fortunate and only suffered minor injuries...
