I guess he's hoping to reel in someone that needs those part numbers to complete the resto...Other than that I'd say no, you're not missing anything other than an added expense and the time to prep the old parts...

For a short time they used unique bumper brackets which are rare and hard to find. If this set-up includes those I would say the price is not too far off. Average original bumpers sell for $500-$700 so add the brackets ?

The "flaps" that overlap the lower front valance are longer on 71 bumper.

Yellow is a 70 on a 71..... Orange is a correct 71 bumper

It's strange that AMD chose to make the 70 bumper instead of the 71...If they chose the 71 hey could have then sold both year elasomeric bumpers with a small modification to the area being pointed out..A bad oversight at the least....But it doesn't matter now seeing how they discontinued them...

     Besides the actual part number the "rubber bumper" mounting brackets had elongated mounting slots to help readjust the bumper to fit all factory tolerances.. With that being said most won't see any problem with mounting a repop rubber bumper on the steel bumper brackets..
