Alternator Conversion from 1 wire 2 to wire, Can it Be Done?

It's pretty easy to convert a 2 field wire alternator into a 1 wire alternator by grounding one of the fields, but can you convert a 1 wire round back into a 2 wire round back?  I have a nice 1969 piece that I want to put into my 70 so I need the 2 wire alternator.

Replace the grounded brush with an insulated brush including the proper mount...
