Unfortunately I did not remove the dash and wiring from my car. The restoration shop did. I now have to re-wire everything with no clue what the proper routing for everything under/behind the dash is. Does anyone have pictures of proper (or best) wire routing on the '70 Challenger rally dash with 4 speed and 3 speakers? It looks as though it will be infinitely easier to wire and route before installing the dash.

I have all new M&H wiring for my entire car, so coloring should be at it's best. Not all faded and dirty from heat and 50+ years of service.
 :help:
Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as you except I was the one that took my wiring harness out 20 years ago when I took my dash apart. Looking back probably would have taken different set of photos and notes. Hope these can be of some help.

Those are great. Very helpful. Those will definitely get me going. Thank you. Is your car at the point of reassembly? I'm assuming it should be wired out before installing the dash, but I'm not sure. The bulkhead connector will be hanging down, but I guess that's no big deal.

Anyone else share Do's or Don'ts?

You absolutely 100% want to install the wiring and have the full dash together to install as one unit.

Download the Factory Service Manual, go to section 8-104 and the rest of the section for diagrams

Well that's embarrassing.  :haha:
avatar_MoparLeo @MoparLeo I have the FSM, but didn't even give it a thought for some unknown reason. :looney: Thanks for showing me the error of my ways.  :drinkingbud:

Well, since I just got a little sense knocked back into me, I dug into the Assembly manual also. It is even more thorough.
Embarrassment is such an attitude adjuster. :bricks:
Many thanks.

We are all guilty of it. I've caught myself a couple times starting to post something, then (usually) remembered there is a reason I bought the books  :-[

My frame just got finished up being painted, so I'll be starting to work on reassembling it over the months ahead.

Good info avatar_MoparLeo @MoparLeo forgot to look there too.

Thanks everyone! all the help and pictures I've received have helped a bunch. I have everything fully wired except for one last thing. I have scoured through all of the pictures everyone sent me and all of the diagrams, but I cannot find this. It is the bulb that illuminates the switch area where the headlight, wiper and panel dimmer switches are. I'm assuming it is keyed hot to the ignition since it wouldn't help much if it was not lit in the dark for you to see your light switch. It is a yellow wire with a female spade connector on it. It mounts to the instrument light bar and the wire exits in the same location as the orange instrument light wire, but is a separate wire. Anyone know where this plugs in?
Thanks.

It's called "Switch Title Lamp". Do you have the A01 option wiring on your harness?

I think you are referring to this.  The yellow wire plugs into the orange wire.
