Anybody know a source for these 4X10 dash speakers with the two small speakers ? The big box stores CI and YO are sold out  :headbang:

They probably all come from the same source but you can try these guys......http://www.turnswitch.com/speakers.htm

There's a Jerry Landes that floats on the various Mopar forums that sells a CORRECT fitting adapter plate for that location.  That's where I got mine and I mounted 2 3.5" speakers in it.  There are pics in my 1974 Challenger restomod thread.  Email him @ Moparmad57@gmail.com to order one.

I made my own. Not a complex piece to make.

I just looked into that....The speakers on that one I pictured from Classic Industries are available on Amazon for $59 CDN/pr and I can get a 12X12 piece of 1/8" thick plastic on Amazon for $19 CDN....now only if I owned a jig saw... :haha: :haha:

If this was going to be my only front speaker location I think this would sound better

I bought one of those originally, but it wasn't going to sit flat in my dash without cutting out some of the dash frame.  I didn't want to go that route, so went with the Turnswitch option instead.

I bought a dual speaker plate from the guy mentioned earlier.  It was really inexpensive.  I could have made my own but it wasn't worth my time as cheap as it was.  Then you can put whatever speakers you want in it.

So I bought the speakers and a sheet of plastic from Amazon and made my own for less then half the price it would have cost me from Classic Industries...

DISCLAIMER: I did have to go out and buy the cheapest jig saw I could find...now that I'm done, I should just return it  :haha: :haha: :haha:
