I have a 1970 SE and the map light stays on no matter which position the switch in in. I recently had the dash out to update my tach to digital so I'm assuming I messed up a ground somewhere. Any suggestions?

I don't have a print of the '70 SE, but I don't think a faulty ground is your issue. A bad ground would prevent the light from illuminating, or blow a fuse if the ground was on the other side of the light.
Obviously a bad switch could cause it, an improperly wired switch, a faulty relay IF there is one involved, a pinched wire where 12vdc gets shorted to the wire feeding your map light.
My guess is the removal and reinstall of the switch panel caused a pinched or shorted wire.
