Emergency Flasher mounting

My emergency flasher clip is no longer attached to the brake pedal assembly bracket. Anyone know how to mount it? I can probably use some adhesive, but curious how it was originally mounted.

weird, mine doesn't have that little clip. It looks very similar but the clip is missing. Guess I'll look for a new holder with the clip or figure out another method of securing it.

When I was looking for that picture, I came across lots of aftermarket ones for different types of cars, that DID NOT have the clip, so you're not alone or going crazy...

The one I pictured is the correct one for E Bodies, there's two of them. One at the brake pedal, and one on the side of the ashtray mount.

I've found that the electronic flashers don't fit into the original clips.  They are slightly larger in diameter. Bummer!
