What have you all done to run extra wires and lines through the firewall? such as A/F sensor wire, oil pressure line, etc. To get the connector of the A/F sensor will take a good size hole. Maybe bring that up through the 4 speed hole area and run under the carpet to the dash.

I ran all of my wiring for my Holley Sniper through the oval plug for the clutch. I punched a small hole in the plug and scored a slightly longer vertical and horizontal line through the punched hole.A replacement plug is about $2.00 if you ever need to undo it.

I poked a hole in the plug for the manual windshield washer, upper right hand of picture, to run a power cable for an amp.

I ran my AF lines through the rubber floor plugs which was actually close to the sensors I installed in the headers. This was temporary as I didn't want the gauge under the dash all the time anyway and I removed it all after one week when I was sure the carbs were dialed in.

I am using a similar approach.  From fuse block under dash and gauge mounted beneath dash near radio, my wiring runs along bottom edge of heater box, under the front edge of the carpet, then drops through passenger floor pan plug to a single sensor on the passenger side exhaust head pipe.
