Has anyone tried one of the tube style fuel sending units yet?

@GoodysGotaCuda seems like I saw a post where you mentioned picking one up, have you installed it yet?

I know they won't work for people with a stock tank but a lot of vendors are selling a different type of fuel level sending unit that doesn't use a typical float...  They are designed to fit the standard five screw attachment found on Tanks Inc EFI  fuel tanks...

I'm not thrilled with the current sending unit & considering a change, I was hoping to hear about others experiences...

Thanks!

I just installed one in the fuel cell I'm putting in the Javelin. Haven't used it yet though so I can't be of much help. Looks like it will work in the Tanks Inc tank though. which I also have in the Challenger. I'm using they other sender they offer in that tank with no issues.

Hopefully it's the answer we all have been looking for, a fuel gauge that is sort of accurate....

Don't think that sender was available three years ago, I bought mine 3-4 years ago & it wasn't being offered then... They were selling a conventional style sender with the float arm...  I've only seen it on their website for about a year now

I'm pretty sure it's been around at least that long. It was available when I installed my Tanks Inc but I opted for the cheaper version.

I don't think mine is technically a floatless, but I'm trying to recall. I think mine has a float, but it is shielded within the tube to help mitigate responding to fuel slosh.

So far it works pretty decently.

I got the Classic Instruments tube sender 2016 when I switched to EFI. Sender seems to work well w/ my gauges.
